Duke of Edinburgh's Award

The Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme is a programme of activities to do in your spare time. There are three awards to try for: Bronze, Silver and Gold. For each award it is up to you to design your own programme, choosing one activity under the headings of service, skills, physical recreation, expedition and residential project.

Young people take part in the Award for lots of different reasons but the most important reason to get involved is because you will enjoy it. By undertaking the Award you will have the opportunity to explore new talents and abilities, to develop your self confidence, be part of a team and much, much more. During sessions you will be able to take part in expedition training, campcraft, cooking, map reading and first aid activities.
